High-Quality Plasmid Purification

We offer high-quality plasmid purification at multiple scales from midipreps to gigapreps. All our plasmid purification batches undergo a rigorous quality control process to ensure they can be used in the most demanding applications including the transfection of sensitive cell lines, in vivo experiments, or delicate cell free systems.

All preparations three tests:

• Absorbance at 230 nm, 260 nm, and 280 for quantification and purity analysis.
• NGS sequencing to confirm the identity and integrity of the plasmid solution.
• Endotoxin level to ensure that these solutions can be considered endotoxin-free (<0.1 EU/µg).

Plasmids are delivered in Tris-EDTA (10 mM Tris, 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0) at a standard concentration of 500 ng/µL. Alternative formats are available upon request.

Plasmid Purification Scale Comparison

The yields of plasmid preparations depends on the plasmid size, the plasmid copy number, and the possible toxicity to E. coli of the genes encoded on the plasmid. Even though it is not possible to guarantee plasmid quantities produced at different scales, yields generally fall in these ranges.

Midiprep

• Bacterial culture volume: 50 ml
• DNA elution volume: ≥ 150 µl
• Typical yield: 200 – 400 µg
• Minimum yield: 50 µg

Maxiprep

• Bacterial culture volume: 150 ml
• DNA elution volume: ≥ 300 µl
• Typical yield: 500 – 1000 µg
• Minimum yield: 150 µg

Gigaprep

• Bacterial culture volume: 2500 ml
• DNA elution volume: ≥ 3000 µl
• Typical yield: 1000-3000 µg
• Minimum yield: 500µg
