New Plasmid Design Process
Designing new plasmids typically takes about one week and follows these four steps:
Step 1: Place Your Order
Select the number of plasmids you need, and upload a brief document describing your project goals, functional requirements, and any constraints—such as preferred backbones, genes, or regulatory elements.
Note: The project scope must be clearly defined upfront. Changes to the specifications after design work begins may require placing a new order.
Step 2: Project Review
Your dedicated account manager will review your submission and may contact you to clarify details, ensuring we fully understand your design requirements before proceeding.
Step 3: Delivery & Revisions
Once initial designs are complete, they’ll be uploaded to your GenoFAB account for review. You may request up to three rounds of revisions, limited to the original scope.
Step 4: Order Plasmid Synthesis
After approval, your designs are ready for synthesis and downstream applications. Ordering plasmid synthesis from GenoFAB is the natural next step to streamline your project and ensure continuity.
