Plasmid Design Review Process

A design review project typically takes 1–4 weeks, depending on the complexity of your plasmids and the quality of documentation provided.

Step 1: Place Your Order

Select the number of plasmids you’d like us to review. Upload a ZIP file containing annotated sequence files (GenBank, SnapGene, or Geneious) along with a document outlining your project goals, functional requirements, and any constraints.

Note: The project scope must be clearly defined upfront. Changes to the specifications after design work begins may require placing a new order.

Step 2: Project Review

Your dedicated account manager will review your submission and may follow up with questions to ensure we fully understand your design objectives and constraints.

Step 3: Scope of Review

Our scientific team will evaluate the following aspects of your plasmid designs:

  • Sequence Complexity Identifying regions that may compromise plasmid assembly or stability, and proposing simplification strategies.
  • Expression Cassette Structure Verifying the presence and organization of essential functional elements for proper gene expression.
  • Design Consistency Across Constructs Ensuring coherent design and annotation across all plasmids in your project to support comparable results and reliable downstream analysis.

Step 4: Design Revisions

We will send you a detailed analysis highlighting any issues identified, along with recommendations for improvement. You can approve or reject these suggestions. Up to three rounds of revision are included, limited to the original scope of the project.

Step 5: Order Plasmid Synthesis

After approval, your designs are ready for synthesis. Ordering plasmid synthesis from GenoFABis the most efficient way to move your project forward with full continuity and quality assurance.
